Do you remember doing a Daily Prompt in school? I LOVED it! My 8th grade teacher was fantastic at it. She would have us do timed writings to increase our thought flow and build up endurance for writing. She was super creative and amazingly talented at handling our obnoxious GT (Gifted and Talented, though majority of the times Goofy and Talkative) class of 14. Our journals were filled with writing from prompts and the teacher would always participate with us.
When I saw the Daily Post at Word Press, the 8th grade me (still buried somewhere deep inside) got giddy! A writing prompt!! FUN!
So for those of you who enjoy journal writing in your moleskins or on your own blogs, check out the Daily Prompt for some inspiration!
Today’s prompt: Write a letter to your 14-year-old self. Tomorrow, write a letter to yourself in 20 years.
Oh heavens,…..what a prompt!
Last night we went to a friends’ house and and helped them pass out candy. They estimated about 3,000 trick-or-treaters to come through their front yard. I was skeptical at first, but I believe it now! SOOOO many children! And the best part, they were all so polite and used their manners. What great kids!
The house was decorated with such cute and festive items. My favorite was the pumpkins with spider legs! Check out how cute these are!! For the kids and families that they new personally, they got to go inside and get home made brownies, drinks, and more fun things. (They let Robby and I inside, too.)
Robby decided to go as a soccer play. Does it surprise anyone that he picked sports? No. It is surprising that it had nothing to do with Texas A&M, though! All my costumes are still packed and in the storage building, so I borrowed a fun witches had and gloves and paired it with a black dress.
All in all, it was a very relaxing and fun night with friends and passing out candy. THEN we went home and Robby fell asleep while I watched It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. Just love that movie!! Happy Halloween!
