About the Rigneys

Robby and Alison got married on June 9th, 2012 in Dallas, Texas.   Alison is from East Texas while Robby is from West Texas.  After much prayer and discussion, they decided to move to Midland/Odessa to start their new life together.

Alison went to college at Dallas Baptist University, majoring in Education.  Later she went on to teach elementary school for 5 years in Richardson while earning her Masters degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M-Commerce.  Alison left the classroom to work with a non-profit, SER Jobs for Progress, develop an education program for high school drops outs to earn their GED or diploma.  During this time she helped launch the SER Career Prep Academy (online high school).  Now in Midland, Alison works for an energy investment company and handles investments and accounting.  Though a different direction from teaching, this job allows Alison to keep working with students by tutoring after school.  Alison loves cooking, traveling, working out, and being with friends and family.

Robby went to college at Texas A&M in College Station, majoring in Sports Management.  If anyone were to meet Robby, they would say he is one of the biggest Aggie fans they have ever met!   Robby is passionate about Texas A&M Football, but follows just about every sport there is.  Robby worked for a period of time in the oil and gas industry as a land man before he moved to Midland where he began working in international investments as well as national sales for his grandfather’s company.  Robby finds joy in being on a golf course as often as possible and spending time with friends.

Priorities in their life together:

  1. God
  2. Family
  3. Friends
  4. Fun
